Hand-built in stoneware, Vestige II carries a raw, heavily textured surface embedded with fine grog, leaving visible traces of mineral-like fragments throughout the clay. Its deep earth-brown body, touched with muted gray and subtle charcoal markings, evokes the appearance of an object uncovered from the ground, weathered, altered, and still carrying the evidence of its surroundings. The irregular, silhouetted, coarse surface preserves the marks of the hand and the process of making, allowing imperfection and material variation to become part of the vessel itself.

Please Note:

The raw exterior of Vestige II is intentionally left unglazed, allowing the natural character and texture of the stoneware to remain visible. Although the interior is fully vitrified and clear glazed for holding water, contact with water on the exterior may temporarily create darker areas or subtle moisture marks. These variations are a natural expression of the raw clay and will fade as the surface dries.
